The spectacle of cake
A little rain couldn't keep the lovers of cake from The Cake Show held on Sunday the Wychwood barns. I attended The Cake Show as both a speaker and a judge and I must thank the team at the College of Bonnie Gordon for hosting an event so terrible.
I am thankful that I wasn't given the difficult task of judging the cake Star Face Off! Three well-known designers went head-to-head design a cake, each of which represented the four seasons. They had a mere five hours to complete their designs, and their results were simply stunning. The general public was fascinated and some of them watched every minute!
Although it was a difficult task, the judges chose Beth Appleton of extravagant wedding cakes as the winner with his adorable fall inspired cake complete with chocolate squirrels, compliments Beth, as well as its competitors for their inspirational work.
